happy thanksgiving!

we had a great thanksgiving this year. brandon's family came from houston for the week. i cooked the fixins, but i can't take credit for the main event, the turkey. i don't care if i ever cook a damn turkey in my whole life. it seems way too complicated. i don't know why you would spend the hours and hours it takes to cook a good turkey, when you can order a pre-cooked one from whole foods. heat it up for 2 hours...and bam! delicious!!

anyway...i love to make the sides and treats. and because we live in the pacific northwest, we had to have a tray of oysters and smoked salmon.

it. was. so. good.

we had a great thanksgiving, and a nice visit with brandon's family.

melt down

the baby melt down. it fascinates me.
within seconds...the life of an infant turns upside down
and it's all over.
it's truly something to behold...

october in photos

it just doesn't get any better than october. the colors, the scents, the air, the food, the countless pumpkin spice lattes...i can't get enough of it all! it is by far my favorite month of the year. always has been.

4.

1. honey crisp apples in my great grandmothers antique serving bowl.
2. the drive through snohomish and the dog ranch that babysits bauer and lola when we leave town. (we call it "camp" and they love going there)
3. visiting a clam farm up north. d e l i c i o u s.
4. a (warm) trip to the pumpkin patch and farm in while visiting grandma, grandpa and cousin adelyn, in arizona.

miles was pretty amused by the sheep and goats, but lost interest in most everything by the end of the day...

sorry grandma and grandpa...the party is over.
