we had a great thanksgiving this year. brandon's family came from houston for the week. i cooked the fixins, but i can't take credit for the main event, the turkey. i don't care if i ever cook a damn turkey in my whole life. it seems way too complicated. i don't know why you would spend the hours and hours it takes to cook a good turkey, when you can order a pre-cooked one from whole foods. heat it up for 2 hours...and bam! delicious!!
anyway...i love to make the sides and treats. and because we live in the pacific northwest, we had to have a tray of oysters and smoked salmon.
it. was. so. good.
we had a great thanksgiving, and a nice visit with brandon's family.
happy thanksgiving 2o12
